The Ekansh Kalakshetra Story
Ekansh Kalakshetra was born from a dream nurtured in the vibrant streets of Mumbai—a city where talent often goes unnoticed amidst the chaos. Swaraj Singh, during his early days in the city, found himself caught in long queues, waiting for opportunities that never seemed to come. It was in those moments of stillness that he made a quiet promise to himself: one day, he would create a space where artists wouldn’t have to wait; instead, the opportunities would come to them. This promise became the foundation of Ekansh Kalakshetra.
The vision began to take form during the global pandemic, a time when the world was locked in uncertainty. Despite the challenges, Swaraj found purpose in teaching storytelling and acting to over 100 individuals from across the world. Through virtual classes, he connected hearts, letting art serve as a bridge for human connection during the toughest of times. The experience was a revelation, showing him that the arts could thrive, even in the most unlikely of circumstances. This realization catalyzed the creation of Ekansh Kalakshetra—an inclusive, community-driven platform for artists to express, learn, and grow without barriers.
After the pandemic, the dream transitioned into reality with the addition of two co-founders—Sujay Malik, a passionate storyteller and poet, and Nandita Rani, a multi-talented performer and educator. Together, they transformed Ekansh Kalakshetra into more than just an initiative; it became a movement. With a shared commitment to revolutionizing the arts industry, they created a space where every artist, regardless of background or skill, had the chance to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Today, Ekansh Kalakshetra stands as a beacon for aspiring artists, igniting creativity, building community, and empowering voices that deserve to be heard.
